HAND CRAFTED BOOKS

While in graduate school, bookmaking became an interesting case study that generated a couple of projects that have remained near and dear to my heart.

 

DIVING

I’m not a strong swimmer and am scared of jumping into open water, but I got my Scuba Diving certification anyway. I’ve seen the Great Barrier Reef under a fluorescent light, turtles and eels in Bonaire, sea lion colonies in Cabo San Lucas and sting rays in Honduras.

 

MUSIC

For the past couple of years I’ve been singing and discovering how to be playful with sound. Even though I’m terrible at it, I’m currently playing around with a ukulele. It’s getting easier…

 

languages

I am fluent in English and Romanian.

I picked up some Spanish because my grandma’s telenovelas were always playing on TV in my childhood home.

I also took French all the way through high school, but it’s a bit rusty now.
